Early on in VORA, we decided to build a global brand. VORA would be inspired by cultures the world over to celebrate the greatness in every corner of the planet.
After creating a line of men's boxer briefs that could be worn in the most demanding athletic events to a night on the town, we searched for inspiration. We had to look north, to the incredibly active and athletically proud people in the Kingdom of Norway. With a population of only 5.6 million citizens, it has become a powerhouse in organized sports. Norway has captured more medals than any country in Winter Olympic history. We decided to call this line AKTIV, providing an easily distinguishable name, product identity, and cultural relevance. AKTIV is the Norwegian spelling of active. A culture admired for their healthy lifestyle, athletic accomplishments, and thoughtful, minimalist design.
